G&B Takes Residence at La Marzocco’s Cafe In KEXP Studios

Untitled-1

La Marzocco has recently opened a café and showroom inside Seattle’s KEXP Studios, one of the best radio stations in the country; if you have a favorite band, they’ve probably played a live set there and it’s probably on YouTube. But KEXP isn’t the only one having pretty big names pop in. Each month, La Marzocco is handing over the keys to the kingdom to a new roaster as part of their “Roaster in Residency” program. And this month’s resident is a big one: Los Angeles’ G&B Coffee.

The Roaster in Residency program is simple and kinda brilliant. Each month, a new roaster will take control of the bar: which coffees are used, what’s on the menu, how shots are pulled, the whole nine. The idea is to bring that specific roaster’s brand of cool to one place instead of having to travel all over the world – and the program will be an international affair – to experience it.

Though not actually a roaster, G&B Coffee makes a compelling argument for their inclusion as the second resident at KEXP Studios. They are bringing the entirety of the G&B experience to Seattle, including their 360° bar service. The La Marzocco bar actually had to be reconfigured to allow for the “order anywhere” flow. And as one of the best multi-roaster cafes in the country, G&B is expectedly bringing heat to their hoppers, serving ParlorMadcapHeart, and 49th Parallel as part of a menu that will include a turmeric tea latte, handmade milkshakes, and some delicious looking waffles.

G&B’s residence is going on now and will last until June 26th.
